Autumn Harvest Bourbon Sangria
A delightful sangria infused with the flavors of autumn, perfect for Thanksgiving gatherings.
Ingredients
- 5 oz full-bodied red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon extract
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 whole cloves
- 3 star anise
- 1/2 cup sliced apple
- Ice
Instructions
- In a gallon-size container with a lid, combine the red wine, apple cider, bourbon, sugar, cinnamon extract, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and sliced apples.
- Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally 24 to 48 hours for enhanced flavor.
- To serve, fill a wine goblet with ice and pour the Kentucky Autumn Sangria.
