Ingredients
- 1/2 Honeycrisp apple
- 2 whole cloves
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 6 oz red wine (like Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, or Malbec)
- 1 oz brandy (or rum for a gluten-free option)
- 1 oz 7Up or Sprite (or soda water for a less sweet option)
Instructions
- Slice the apple into thin slices, leaving the skin on, and place them in a pitcher.
- Use a tea infuser or cheesecloth to contain the whole cloves and add them to the pitcher along with the cinnamon stick.
- Pour the brandy and red wine into the pitcher, and stir to combine. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
- Just before serving, add the 7Up or Sprite, and give it a gentle stir.
