Aperol Orange Slush Spritz
A delightful frozen twist on the classic Aperol Spritz, this cocktail features a blend of citrus juices, bitter orange liquor, and prosecco, creating a refreshing and slushy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 ounces bitter orange liquor, such as Aperol
- 3 ounces prosecco
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Warm over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in the bitter orange liquor. Let the mixture cool completely.
- Pour the cooled mixture into an 8-inch baking dish and freeze for 4 hours or until completely frozen.
- Use a fork to scrape the surface of the frozen mixture to form large ice shards.
- Spoon about 1/2 cup of the mixture into a coupe glass and top with prosecco.
